In addition to the tank's distinctive green tone and leaf motif, the tank stands 240 feet tall. Its extraordinary height makes it the tallest water tower in the State of texas. The small town, just outside of Dallas, is known for its lush green landscapes. Also known as the “City in the Park,” Farmers Branch has 28 parks in just 12 square miles, local businesses boast. An ode seen in the town's logo and even infrastructure design.
To ensure the tank's durability, Tnemec Company explains, “For longevity, all components of the tank's steel were painted using innovative coating systems from Tnemec, including the fluoropolymer finish, HydroFlon.”
The HydroFlon fluoropolymer finish ensures long-lasting gloss and color retention. This next-generation, high-performance fluoropolymer, contains Lumiflon FEVE technology, which is a main contributor to the coating system's hyper-durability. Lumiflon FEVE resin provides protection to water tank surfaces, helping to prevent coating degradation at the hands of UV radiation, salt, and water. FEVE-based coatings also offer superior color and gloss retention and anti-corrosion properties that maintain the coating's structural integrity.
