The newest water tower is the city’s fourth and the most recent winner of the coveted Tank of the Year competition by coatings manufacturer Tnemec Company. The contest accepts water tower applications from around the country and chooses the top 12 designs, with Moorhead claiming the 2021 top spot.

His piece, "Welcoming Hills of Hot Springs,” adorns the massive tank as he describes, “I wanted to say welcome to Hot Springs, welcome home. That's kind of where it all came from."
