Monarch Theatre is the student performance center of Old Dominion University (ODU) in Norfolk, Virginia. The structure provides ODU’s Fine Arts Department with a shop space, dressing room, faculty offices, rehearsal room, and a 150-seat auditorium. Since educational facilities are heavily used through the years, it is imperative that high-quality, hyper-durable materials are used for construction. The life cycle costs of these buildings are reduced when a structure is built to sustainable standards.

The new Crossroads School is Norfolk, Virginia's first LEED silver certified school. The new building is enveloped in 53,000 square-feet of ALPOLIC's Mist White Aluminum aluminum composite material. The ACM cladding has also been coated in Lumiflon FEVE resin to protect the exterior from UV radiation and other elemental deterrents like wind, water, and salt. The low-VOC production from the Lumiflon coating also makes usage of the product beneficial for green efforts.

After 20 years of service, NASA's Space Shuttle Atlantis was taken out of commission and transferred to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, where it be turned into an exhibit. The newest attraction is housed in a facility that is designed to retell Atlantis' 30 year history. Architectural wings that are coated in Valspar's Valfon wrap around the building, depicting the flames that would ignite along the bottom of the craft as it re-entered the atmosphere.
