The George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas is a magnificent structure that stands at the intersection of modern architecture and environmental responsibility. Former President Bush emphasized the importance of constructing a building that both focused on aesthetics and the preservation of the natural world, which is why PPG's Coraflon was used for this project. With its low VOCs and durable resin that will protect the color and gloss of the building against hot and humid Texan climate, Coraflon was the ideal choice for the presidential center.

School Roof Gets Colorfully Repainted With Advanced Fluoropolymer Coating System

All Tech Coatings Decorating, Steubenville, Ohio, High School Roofing Project Restoration, PPG Coraflon ADS, Lumiflon FEVE Resin
All-Tech Coatings, a specialty division of All-Tech Decorating, out of Chicago Illinois was contracted for a colorful school roof restoration in Steubenville, Ohio. The original baked-on Kynar finish of the standing seam roof had experienced weathering and unexplainable peeling, down to the roof’s primer. This created the perfect opportunity for the high school to not only repaint, but to paint the roof with a color more symbolic to the school. The client chose PPG’s “Surrey Beige” to match the school’s signature colors.

Elementary School Roof Restoration With Flexible FEVE Fluoropolymer Coating

The Gladeville Elementary School in Galax, VA is another example of a school building that uses a standing seam metal roof system. Many building owners look to these roof systems because of their durability, versatility and longevity, however, the baked-on finishes are usually the first component of standing seam metal roofs to fail. Instead of a cost-intensive replacement, many building owners seek a professional recoating. In the case of the Gladeville Elementary School, All-Tech Coatings contractors were able to achieve a factory-like finish using PPG’s Coraflon ADS coating with Lumiflon FEVE fluoropolymer resin – which has been proven to outperform similar coatings systems.
