Country Club Receives Long-Lasting Lumiflon Roof Recoating

In some of the more extreme climates of the United States, standing seam metal roof systems tend to experience coating failures more rapidly and severely. The roofs of buildings on the Olde Florida Golf Course in Naples, Florida had experienced inconsistent weathering from panel to panel, as well as some panels having been rusted all the way through. As restoration was long overdue, the owner contacted All-Tech Coatings of Romeoville, IL, for their expertise in standing seam metal roof recoating. To provide the best ultraviolet (UV) protection, color and gloss retention, All-Tech Coatings applied their proven roof coating system using PPG’s Coraflon ADS coating with Lumiflon FEVE fluoropolymer resin technology.

LEED Platinum San Diego Airport Uses Exterior Steel With FEVE Coating

In a move towards sustainability, the San Diego International Airport sought to achieve a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum terminal design. Not only does the airport terminal utilize alternative energy sources and green building materials, it also features high performance, low volatile organic compound (VOC) coating systems from Tnemec. All exterior exposed steel, including canopies and two sky bridges, used Tnemec’s Series 1071V Fluoronar coating with Lumiflon FEVE fluoropolymer resins for long lasting protection against ultraviolet (UV) light, along with high gloss and color retention.

Standing Seam Roof Receives Long Lasting Restoration With FEVE Coating

While standing seam metal roofs provide longer lasting, more durable solutions than other roofing substrates, their baked on Kynar finishes can fail prematurely. When the roof of this bank in Mathews, Louisiana began showing signs of wear, down to the galvanization, as well as red rust corrosion, it became apparent that a restoration was needed. All-Tech Coatings was chosen for the job, and they were able to provide a factory-like finish using PPG’s Coraflon ADS powder coating with Lumiflon FEVE fluoropolymer resin.

Administrative Building Fitted With Lumiflon Coated Aluminum Curtain Wall

Originally built in the 1970’s, the monolithic Richmond City Hall in Richmond, Virginia, featured marble panels, but due to adverse climatic effects, began to crack by the 1990’s. The new City Hall combines the traditional beauty of granite with a modern painted aluminum curtain wall system that puts an emphasis on it’s “grid-like appearance.” The aluminum curtain wall panels use Akzo Nobel’s high performance Interpon D3000 coating with Lumiflon FEVE fluoropolymer resins; which have proven to provide gloss and ultraviolet degradation resistance in excess of 10 years.
