MPavilion is an annual architecture and design event where one outstanding architect is commissioned to design a pavilion for the Queen Victoria Gardens. The 2015 design was the work of award-winning architect Amanda Levete and her studio, AL_A. The completed pavilion is a series of translucent petals perched on slender carbon fiber poles, creating a structure that resembles a forest canopy.
