FEVE fluoropolymer resin technology has been available commercially for 32 years. It has been part of a multitude of coatings markets – including exterior steel structures, aluminum building components, and aerospace applications. Its biggest performance attribute is its superior weatherability, which gives it a unique place on the list of choices for long-lasting exterior coatings.
However, for some applications in harsh environments, there is the need for additional performance properties. Corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, cleanability, and stain resistance are some of the requirements requested for coatings targeted to these specific markets. The FEVE resin technology has been able to meet several of these requirements. Laboratory testing has demonstrated that coatings will obtain multiple benefits when FEVE resins are incorporated into the formulations. Also, the high degree of compatibility possessed by FEVE resins in all types of coatings allows them to be used in a wide variety of applications.
