Exhibit’s Valflon-Coated “Wings” Retell Space Craft’s Spectacular Story

After 20 years of service, NASA's Space Shuttle Atlantis was taken out of commission and transferred to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, where it be turned into an exhibit. The newest attraction is housed in a facility that is designed to retell Atlantis' 30 year history. Architectural wings that are coated in Valspar's Valfon wrap around the building, depicting the flames that would ignite along the bottom of the craft as it re-entered the atmosphere.

The Seven Clans Casino Red Lake is a structure that sits on the intersection of modern architecture and the preservation of indigenous traditions. Inspired by the woodland environment of Red Lake, Minnesota, the shimmering waters of Red Lake is depicted in the dazzling ACM on the exterior of the building, fabricated to create a series of waves. The ACM, Alucobond Spectra Ocean, is protected with a Lumiflon FEVE topcoat that ensures color and gloss retention.

The Wolf Creek Branch Library was constructed out of a need for a public space in Atlanta's Wolf Creek neighborhood. The state-of-the-art library opened its doors in 2014, debuting its iconic bright, volcanic façade which received its dynamic hue from the Valflon coating system applied to the library's exterior aluminum composite material cladding.
