Water-Based Resins

LUMIFLON FEVE Resin, Waunakee Elevated Water Tank, Tnemec, Architecture

Water-based FEVE resins are ideal for applications requiring superior weatherability using environmentally friendly materials .

Water emulsion grade resins FE4300 and FE4400 were developed as solvent free alternatives to traditional fluororesins. These resins can be formulated into single component or two component coatings that have excellent weatherability. The development of LUMIFLON emulsions involved modifications of the LUMIFLON chemical structure, shown below.

Water dispersion grade resin FD1000 was developed as a solvent free alternative to traditional LUMIFLON resins. FD1000 is made by partially carboxylating a standard LUMIFLON resin, neutralizing with an amine, stripping solvent, then dispersing the resulting product in water. FD1000 is usually formulated into two component coatings with excellent weatherability.
