Webinar Description:
This course discusses the future of exterior coatings and finishes, and explains the bespoke process of achieving a site-specific, client-specific design. Using the offset gravure printing process, unique finishes such as vintage luxury metals, abstract stone and wood can be printed on various types of metals. This manufacturing process results in high-fidelity finishes capable of various fabrication types of a metal substrate, while providing a Class A Fire-Rated, durable, easily maintained and sustainable product. For exterior applications, we will discuss the advantages of using a FEVE over coatings.

-Describe the offset-gravure printing process and its components
-Discuss the features and design capabilities of architectural printed metal products;
-Understand the advantages of FEVE over PVDF coatings
-Identify how architectural printed metal products may contribute to the of a building

Geoff Hahn, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Pure + Freeform, is an American metals and materials designer best known for his design work over the last decade and a half creating metal designs for leading organizations and brands, including: Facebook, LinkedIn, Google, Aman Hotels, Hyatt, Moxy (Marriott), Canopy (Hilton), Intercontinental, Mandarin Oriental, Issey Miyake, Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, Shiseido and Sony, along with landmark projects, including: Hudson Yards, CITC Philly, The Smithsonian NMAAHC, Charleston Airport, Huston Hobby Airport, Portland's Japanese Gardens addition, Asian Museum (San Francisco) and 108 Chambers (New York City).


Mr. Hahn earned a B.S. degree from Cornell University College of Architecture, Art and Planning. His extensive design includes academic credentials from Pratt Institute, where he focused on industrial design and materials; the School of Visual Arts (New York City); and the University of London, where he studied art history, architecture and visual merchandising. He and his wife Francesca live in Hermosa Beach, California. They have two children: Olivia and Marcus.
