All-Tech Coatings, a specialty division of All-Tech Decorating, out of Chicago Illinois was contracted for a colorful school roof restoration in Steubenville, Ohio. The original baked-on Kynar finish of the standing seam roof had experienced weathering and unexplainable peeling, down to the roof’s primer. This created the perfect opportunity for the high school to not only repaint, but to paint the roof with a color more symbolic to the school. The client chose PPG’s “Surrey Beige” to match the school’s signature colors.

Elementary School Roof Restoration With Flexible FEVE Fluoropolymer Coating

The Gladeville Elementary School in Galax, VA is another example of a school building that uses a standing seam metal roof system. Many building owners look to these roof systems because of their durability, versatility and longevity, however, the baked-on finishes are usually the first component of standing seam metal roofs to fail. Instead of a cost-intensive replacement, many building owners seek a professional recoating. In the case of the Gladeville Elementary School, All-Tech Coatings contractors were able to achieve a factory-like finish using PPG’s Coraflon ADS coating with Lumiflon FEVE fluoropolymer resin – which has been proven to outperform similar coatings systems.

Country Club Receives Long-Lasting Lumiflon Roof Recoating

In some of the more extreme climates of the United States, standing seam metal roof systems tend to experience coating failures more rapidly and severely. The roofs of buildings on the Olde Florida Golf Course in Naples, Florida had experienced inconsistent weathering from panel to panel, as well as some panels having been rusted all the way through. As restoration was long overdue, the owner contacted All-Tech Coatings of Romeoville, IL, for their expertise in standing seam metal roof recoating. To provide the best ultraviolet (UV) protection, color and gloss retention, All-Tech Coatings applied their proven roof coating system using PPG’s Coraflon ADS coating with Lumiflon FEVE fluoropolymer resin technology.
