Serving as Canada’s first LEED Platinum certified office tower, Manitoba Hydro’s headquarters stands beautifully in the Winnipeg, Manitoba skyline. The building features aluminum composite panels that change in color from gray to a myriad of blues. The custom Alucobond bronze colored panels feature a Lumiflon FEVE fluoropolymer resin topcoat, further complimenting the building’s sustainability factor due to the durability and weatherability characteristics of the resin that prolong the lifespan of the substrate and eliminate the need to recoat

FEVE Coating Enhances Aesthetic Of Vancouver Aquarium

To refresh the image of Canada’s largest marine science institution, Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership (MCMP) architects designed the Vancouver Aquarium that alludes to the flowing motion of water. Further complimenting the dynamic shape of the structure, the Alucobond Spectra façade panels shift colors when viewed from different angles. These façade panels feature a Lumiflon FEVE resin based topcoat, which met the requirements necessary from the project’s architect.

For the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Nick Milkovich Architects Inc. was chosen to design Millenium Water, a sustainable, mixed-use residential and commercial community that would serve as a temporary home for the 2,600 athletes from around the globe. The 1.4 million square-foot development was awarded LEED-ND Platinum status, and all 16 of its residential buildings were awarded LEED Gold certifications.

Named after former Yankees center field and baseball legend, the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is the modern and environmentally friendly pediatric unit of the Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. The hospital provides amenities such as private rooms games, movies and a clubhouse for its patients. In addition, the hospital achieved a LEED Gold rating in 2012 for its measures in sustainability. The brightly colored curtain walls use aluminum composite panels coated with PPG’s Coraflon ADS coating with Lumiflon FEVE resin.
